Attestation Requirements for IGCSE and GCSE Certificates in the UAE

Students who have completed IGCSE or GCSE qualifications outside the UAE must get their certificates attested before using them for university admissions or employment in the country. Here are the step-by-step attestation requirements:

For IGCSE/GCSE completed in the UK

  1. Get the final IGCSE/GCSE certificates attested by your school in the UK. Do not attest provisional certificates or statements of result.
  2. Submit the school-attested certificates to the British Council office in the UK for verification.
  3. The British Council will attest and return the certificates to you.
  4. Take the British Council-attested certificates to the UAE Embassy in the UK for stamping.
  5. When you receive the embassy-attested certificates back, get them attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  6. Finally, take the UAE MOFA-attested certificates to the UAE Ministry of Education for final attestation.

For IGCSE/GCSE completed outside the UK

  1. Get the final IGCSE/GCSE certificates attested by your school.
  2. Submit the school-attested certificates to your country’s Ministry of Education for verification.
  3. The Ministry will attest and return the certificates to you.
  4. Take the ministry-attested certificates to your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for attestation.
  5. Submit the MOFA-attested certificates to the UAE embassy in your country for stamping.
  6. When you receive the embassy-attested certificates back, get them attested by the UAE MOFA.
  7. Finally, take the certificates to the UAE Ministry of Education for final attestation.

American High School Diploma

  1. Get the diploma attested by the state Department of Education
  2. Attest by the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.

  4. Attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  5. Final attestation by UAE Ministry of Education

Indian 12th Standard Certificates

  1. Attest certificates issued by the school or college
  2. Verify with the concerned Board of Education (CBSE, ICSE, etc.)
  3. Attested by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs
  4. Get stamped by the UAE Embassy in India
  5. Attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  6. Final attestation by the UAE Ministry of Education

French Baccalaureate

  1. Get the certificates attested by the school
  2. Verify by Academie in France
  3. Attested by the French Ministry of Education
  4. Get stamped by the UAE Embassy in France
  5. Attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  6. Final attestation by the UAE Ministry of Education
